Residential Hardscape Installation up to $15,000 — Bronze Award, Moyer Residence

Expert landscaping pavers in Lebanon County, PA

The Moyer’s worked with our designer to create a more updated formal entrance to their 1987 two-story home. Using the straight lines of the homes offsets and brick front, our designer mimicked these elements throughout the design, using the square lines of the pavers and border plantings. Our designer created an inviting front entryway as well as integrating LED landscape lighting and plantings with seasonal interest.

The Moyer property consists of 5-acres; however, only one acre is maintained as turf. They have neighbors on the east and west sides of their home and cornfield to the rear (north) and orchard grass/alfalfa to front (south). They have a spectacular view of the Appalachian Mountains on the north side. The house provides added protection from harsh northern winds and the plant material used is on the south and east facing sides of the home.

We faced little to no challenges while working on this project. We had a delayed start due to having to wait for a general contractor to finish his work, prior to us starting, which included new siding, windows and covered porch.

We constructed the 165 square foot walkway using Techo-Bloc’s Elena pavers installed in a random pattern with an Allegro sailor row. Both products used were of the same sandlewood color. The walkway was constructed as per ICPI standards for a residential paver installation. Eight (4 path, 4 mini-accent) Kichler® Design Pro LED landscape light fixtures were used to provide security and ambient light for the walkway as well as highlight plant. We chose plant material which would compliment the layout of the walkway and the home, such as the variegated liriope borders. We also utilized plants which have an extended bloom time throughout the seasons and fragrances which can be enjoyed as our clients sat on their front porch.

Each project our company undertakes has its own unique features. It was a real pleasure to see all the unique aspects of the project unfold, from the initial design consultation to the last installed plant, not to mention surpassing our client’s expectations.
